Triumph Motorcycles has officially launched the updated 2025 Trident 660 in India, bringing with it a host of meaningful upgrades that enhance both performance and convenience. Priced between ₹8.49 lakh and ₹8.64 lakh (ex-showroom), the refreshed Trident 660 aims to strengthen its foothold in the competitive middleweight roadster segment with new features, updated hardware, and fresh color options.
The Trident 660 has long held a reputation for being a practical, rider-friendly motorcycle that doesn’t compromise on performance or premium appeal. The 2025 iteration builds on this formula with a series of upgrades designed to improve the riding experience, particularly for those who value a balance between urban agility and long-distance touring capabilities.
Among the most notable updates is the inclusion of new ride modes. Triumph has now added Sport mode as standard, alongside the existing Road and Rain modes. This offers riders greater adaptability across varied road conditions and riding preferences. What used to be optional tech features—such as the bidirectional quickshifter and Bluetooth connectivity—are now standard equipment on the 2025 model, delivering greater value for money.
Another major addition is cruise control, a feature that significantly improves touring comfort. While the system does not support on-the-fly speed adjustments without disengaging, its inclusion at this price point adds an important convenience factor for highway riders.
From a hardware perspective, Triumph has upgraded the front suspension by fitting the Trident 660 with a Showa Big Piston Fork (BPF). Though it remains non-adjustable, the new fork setup promises better ride feedback and control, particularly during spirited riding or rougher road conditions. At the rear, the monoshock continues with preload adjustability, giving some level of tuning flexibility.
The powertrain remains unchanged. Triumph has retained the 660cc, liquid-cooled, inline-three-cylinder engine, which continues to deliver 81 horsepower and 64 Nm of torque. This engine is paired with a 6-speed gearbox, and with the new quickshifter, gear changes are now quicker and smoother, especially useful for spirited riding and city traffic alike. The motorcycle retains its 14-litre fuel tank and 190 kg kerb weight, striking a strong balance between stability and agility.
Another rider-friendly trait carried over is the low seat height of 805 mm, which makes the Trident accessible to a wide range of riders, from beginners to seasoned enthusiasts. It continues to ride on Michelin Road 5 tyres, known for their excellent grip and durability across varied road conditions.
For 2025, Triumph has also expanded the aesthetic appeal of the Trident by introducing three new dual-tone color options: yellow, blue, and red. These are offered alongside the existing all-black variant. The base black color is priced at ₹8.49 lakh, while the dual-tone variants cost ₹8.64 lakh. This results in a price hike of ₹37,000 compared to the outgoing model, with the dual-tone paint job itself accounting for ₹15,000 of that increase.
Although the Triumph Trident 660 doesn’t face direct competition in India, it does operate in a segment that includes motorcycles such as the Kawasaki Z650RS priced at ₹7.20 lakh, and the Honda CB650R E-Clutch, which retails at ₹9.60 lakh. Between these, the Trident offers a compelling package by bridging the affordability-performance-tech gap effectively.
The Trident 660’s appeal lies not just in its spec sheet but in its real-world versatility. It has earned its place among middleweight motorcycles for those who want a bike that can commute during the week and cruise on weekends. The updates for 2025 elevate that versatility further, making it even more well-rounded.
Triumph India has confirmed that the updated Trident 660 is now available for booking across its dealership network. Given its combination of refreshed features, premium build, and now more tech-laden package, the 2025 Trident 660 strengthens its status as one of the most desirable and accessible roadsters in its class.
the 2025 Triumph Trident 660 delivers a well-calculated upgrade that blends performance, technology, and style without straying from its core identity. For riders in the market for a sporty, practical, and premium middleweight motorcycle, the latest Trident stands tall as a top contender.
